About Claire

I know what it feels like to look capable while carrying a lot underneath.

Twenty-one years in elite sport and more than two decades in education shape my practical approach to leadership under pressure.

Where it began

Sport shaped how I understand pressure.

I grew up on a farm in rural Wexford, where hard work, community and camogie were part of everyday life.

I spent twenty-one years in elite sport, winning four All-Ireland titles and receiving two All-Stars. Those years taught me discipline, preparation and recovery. They also showed me how easily identity can become tied to achievement.

I understand what it means to keep performing while the pressure underneath is building.

When life changed

The old way of working stopped fitting.

Alongside sport, I spent more than twenty years in Irish-language education. Then I had children, stepped away from parts of the identity I had known and returned with questions I had not expected.

I kept going until burnout forced me to pay attention. That experience changed how I think about success, pressure and the pace we expect ourselves to sustain.

Something needed to change, not because I had failed, but because the way I was living no longer worked.

How I coach

Direct questions. Practical action.

Coaching gives you space to look honestly at what is happening, what is draining you and what needs to change next.

I work with the real meeting, decision or conversation in front of you. I listen, ask clear questions and challenge you when needed. You remain in charge of the direction.

I pay attention to the gap between what you are capable of and what you are currently giving yourself permission to ask for. Together, we make your strengths visible, uncover the patterns shaping your decisions and practise the conversations that can change what happens next.

Start with what is happening now.

Bring the pressure you are carrying and we will look at the next useful step.
